Dear Aquasports Supporter
We are a month on from arriving back from Aquasports 2024 and this seems like a good time to reflect and feedback on what an amazing camp was had!
Aquasports 2024 was incredible. We saw numerous young people come to know Jesus for the first time. Many campers said how important Aquasports was as a milestone in their faith and a time of encouragement and growth before the start of another academic year. Here’s a few golden nuggets.
“This week I have felt supported and at peace, less stressed, less insecurities and more confident about decisions for the future. Aquasports means deep chats, great talks and connecting more with God. I’m also better at wakeboarding!”
“This week I have been able to find God in the stillness. I’ve prayed more and felt really encouraged to read the Bible. I’ve had lots of peaceful moments to reflect, and I’ve been able to talk and express my thoughts and troubles without being judged. I really feel part of a loving and close community.”
“This week I have gotten to know God more as a friend. This week I have felt different as I’ve taken time to speak to God and listen to Him. I feel more confident and happier. I know God will always be by my side and He’ll catch me when I fall. I’ve got to know more about His love and how reckless and powerful it is.”
We also want to take a moment to thank our amazing team. We are so thankful for them and Aquasports only runs because of the way this faithful team gift their time and energy. Many of our team jumped straight back into work but a lucky a handful (including us) were able to take a break before getting back to our day jobs. We hope a month on they are seeing God’s blessings abundantly in their lives.
We are so thankful to all of you, our Aquasports supporters, who faithfully stand with us in prayer and financial support. We received some amazing gifts over the past year and we are so grateful to those who have given faithfully to God’s work through this amazing camp. Your gifts made a huge difference to 2024, allowed us to invest in the holiday and set us in a good position for 2025. These contributions make Aquasports what it is. God has been so abundant in His blessings and that firmly includes you as supporters.
Looking forward to Aquasports 2025 we already have 21 young people who have reserved their space! Bookings will open this week. Having met with the trustees we have decided to keep the price for 2025 the same as 2024. We are conscious that the rising costs of the past couple of years have made it more challenging for some young people to attend. We are striving to do our best to make Aquasports as affordable and accessible as possible whilst ensuring the future of camp, because we know how life changing meeting Jesus is.
