Dear Aquasports Supporters and Friends

Back in April I wrote to you on behalf of the Trustees to ask if you would partner with us in praying for and funding (if able) for new shower and toilet blocks for Aquasports 2023. As you know, the old cabins were over 30 yrs old and we really needed to replace them. Earlier this year they started to leak. It is a miracle that they haven’t let us down sooner. The total cost of the project was £75k and in April we needed to raise a further £21k in order to reach the target.

I am very happy to tell you that the full amount has been raised as a result of your prayers, generous giving and some grants from Trust funds to which we applied. The new cabins have been purchased, the old ones demolished and new ones will be delivered on 20th July.

Thank you for all of your support, without which Aquasports would not be able to go ahead each year. We are so pleased that we are now able to provide a more superior facility for the young people and team during their time at Aquasports.

We have seen that God speaks into the lives of young people and team in a powerful way whilst at Aquasports. The young people also value the Christian support and friendship which Aquasports so often facilitates.

I would like to ask you to continue to pray for camp and all those who are coming this year. Specifically, please can you pray for:

  • Safety and good health for all on camp.
  • Unity amongst the team which serves the young people.
  • Wisdom for the camp leaders.
  • For God to be preparing hearts and minds of all those who will be on camp and for the Holy Spirit to be powerfully evident in lives during the week of camp.
  • For new team members to feel welcomed and able.
  • For good weather for the sports.
